About our Lawyerpalooza Co-Chairs:
Tommy Bishop is an attorney in solo practice and a guitarist from Richmond. He entered the legal profession after a decade-long career as a Spanish teacher (he still answers to “Señor”), earning his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2018. He also holds a B.A. from VCU & a Master’s in Education from the University of Richmond. His practice covers a wide range of legal areas, including immigration, traffic/criminal, and Civil Rights restoration. Tommy lives in Lakeside with his wife, who dutifully puts up with his squealing electric guitar at all hours of the day and night.
Peter Askin is a Richmond attorney at ThompsonMcMullan with local roots and a Litigation practice bolstered by trial and appellate experience. He grew up in North Side’s Ginter Park & attended the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School. “… Richmond has so much to offer, and I always knew I’d build my career here,” Peter said. Peter plays in two bands and has a passion for music alongside his legal career.
